Volunteer Coordinatior: Colleen Argue

WHO:  Maximum team size is 20 participates. Must be at least 15 years old. Youth teams need to haveadult supervision.  One adult for every 4 to 5 youth.  Both male and female supervision when warranted.

WHEN: Orientation isSunday evening, please plan to be here by 7:00 p.m.  Work is Monday through Friday.  Closing on Saturday morning.

COSTMoney is used to buy materials and pay wages for a person to help the work teams.  Our prime months for work cams are June, July and Aug.  We do require a full 5 days during these months.  We will put you on the calendar once we have a deposit.  There are no refunds / non-transferable and no guarantee that we can provide off ground jobs. There is a charge of $100.00 per day whith amaximum of a days for weekends.

10 OR less $400.00/day or $2000/wk

11 to 15 $450.00/day or $2250/wk

16 to 20 $500.00/day or $2500/wk

Forweekends $100.00/day

These prices are per group

Food:  Preppare own meals or eat meals out. Noon meals should be a sack lunch at the work-site. Wednesdays you are invited to eat lunch with the Seniors Citizens fora donation.  Reservations are required the week before you come so that enough food is prepared.

ACCOMMODATIONS:  Large groups stay in an air-conditioned Mission Lodge which has well equipped Kitchen,2 completed restrooms with showers, 2 large rooms with bunk beds with mattresses.  For smaller groupswe have a furnished manufactured home, when available.

SUPPLIES TO BRING: Bedding, work clothes including gloves and hats, leisure clothes, closed toeshoes or boots, swim suits, fishing gear and personal items. You do not need to bring tools. 

INSURANCE:  Be sure that you have group insurance for your trip and proper medical permission slips for each person under the age of 18.  We do not accept any group without Insurance.

WORK:  Repairing house, roofing, painting electrical work and plumbing.  Also jobs around the center.  There are jobs for all capabilities.

RECREATION:  LakeTenkiller is a place for boating, fishing, swimming and canoe trips on the Illinois River. Visit historical Tahlequah, the Cherokee Heritage Center and Ancient Village (Tsar-la-gi)

SCHEDULING A WORK WEEK:  Call the office and alk to Colleen Argue.  Pleas call early because our scheduling is done on a "first come first serve" basis.
